Building materials that are not wood, metal, glass, plastic, fiberglass, or a synthetic neoprene may be Presumed Asbestos Containing Materials (PACM) unless otherwise tested for asbestos.
Therefore, prior to any demolition or remediation that is not part of an emergency mitigation disaster response necessary to eliminate and/or reduce life safety issues; the building materials should be inspected and tested for asbestos.
